Trajectory
André Ferreira Rodrigues was born on December 10, 1972, in Recife, Pernambuco . An entrepreneur with a degree in tourism, he began his public life in municipal politics as a city councilor in Recife , being elected for three consecutive terms. He later served as a state representative in Pernambuco in the 2015–2018 legislature before winning a seat in the House of Representatives in 2018 and being re-elected in 2022. He is currently serving his second federal term in the 2023–2027 legislature, representing Pernambuco for the Liberal Party (PL) .
His political career includes stints at different levels of elected office and party leadership roles. After three terms as a city councilor, he joined the Legislative Assembly of Pernambuco, and upon reaching the National Congress, he consolidated his representation of the state, becoming the most voted deputy in Pernambuco and the Northeast Region in 2022 with 273,267 votes. Throughout his parliamentary career, he also served as leader of the PSC at the beginning of his first term and even became deputy leader of the federal government in the House of Representatives between 2021 and 2022 before migrating to the PL in 2022.
In the National Congress , André Ferreira actively participates in legislative activities and committees. In the House of Representatives, he is a member of the Consumer Protection Committee and the Special Committee on Classified Documents , of which he was appointed president in 2025 , in addition to participating in discussions on IPVA (Vehicle Property Tax) exemption for specific vehicles (PEC 72/23). In the current legislature, he has 58 proposals of his authorship registered in the House of Representatives's system, focusing on topics such as consumer protection, health, family and social inclusion, and he works on issues of interest to his state and society.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
