Alexsandro Santana de Souza , known as Alex Santana , was born in Salvador, Bahia, on September 28, 1982. He graduated in Theology and worked as an evangelical pastor before entering politics. He also worked in community communication and social projects linked to evangelical churches in Bahia. Married, he is a father and maintains a strong connection with religious and social issues, which guided his political career.
Alex Santana began his political career with the Republican Party (PR) , later joining the Democratic Labour Party (PDT) , the party through which he was elected federal deputy for Bahia in 2018 , with approximately 50,000 votes .
In 2022, he won re-election to the House of Representatives, joining the Republicanos party, through which he has been consolidating his political career.
In the House of Representatives, Alex Santana stands out for his work on social, security, and religious issues , aligned with the demands of the so-called evangelical caucus .
She was a member of committees such as the Committee for the Defense of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities , the Transportation and Highways Committee , and the Human Rights and Minorities Committee .
Among its main causes are:
Defense of the family and Christian values;
Support for public policies for people with disabilities;
Investments in infrastructure and transportation, especially for Bahia;
Incentives for social programs focused on welcoming, inclusion, and combating poverty;

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
