Trajectory
Adilson Barroso Oliveira (known as Adilson Barroso ) is a Brazilian politician and businessman , born on June 14, 1964, in Minas Novas (MG) . Born into a humble family that worked in agriculture since childhood, he opened his own thermal insulation company at a young age in São Paulo and began his political career in the late 1980s, being elected councilman in Barrinha (SP) in 1988 and re-elected in 1992. Throughout his career, he held positions such as vice-mayor of Barrinha (1997–2002) and state deputy in São Paulo (2003–2010) before returning to the municipal and state legislative scene at different times. In 2022, affiliated with the Liberal Party (PL) , he was elected alternate federal deputy for São Paulo and assumed the mandate in the 57th Legislature (2023–2027) of the House of Representatives .
In his political career , Barroso built his base in regional and state elected positions before reaching the National Congress. He has been a member of several parties throughout his career—including PTB, PFL, PRONA, PSC, PSL, and Patriota —and played an active role in the founding of the National Ecological Party (PEN) , later called Patriota, before migrating to the PL in 2022 alongside allies of then-President Jair Bolsonaro. As an alternate, he served in parliament on several occasions since 2023, replacing Congressman Guilherme Derrite (PP-SP) during leaves of absence, and in December 2025 he definitively assumed the seat left vacant by the resignation of Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) .
In the National Congress , Adilson Barroso's legislative work focuses on diverse topics such as infrastructure, regional development, public security, agriculture, and restrictions on gambling advertising . As of 2025 , he has 133 proposals to his name and 6 reported on the House of Representatives's website. Among the bills he has presented or participated in are:
• Bill 3482/2024 — amends tax legislation to address the tax treatment of peanut meal and oil for PIS/Pasep and Cofins purposes ;
• Bill 2307/2024 — creates a special participation and Social Fund for Mining in the mineral resources law;
• Bill 976/2023 — amends the Accessibility Law to make elevators mandatory in buildings with two or more floors ;
• Bill 2588/2023 — expands the Animal Protection Law to include public units with veterinarians for spaying/neutering and other veterinary care ;
• Bill 4834/2024 and Bill 2465/2024 — titles of National Capital of Sugar, Alcohol and Sugarcane for regions of São Paulo;
• Bill 2257/2025 — prohibits advertising of betting and gambling on digital platforms in the country ;
• Bill 5248/2025 and Bill 5175/2025 — National Program for Security and Logistical Support for Pilgrims on Federal Highways ;
• Bill 4877/2023 — grants the municipality of Jaboticabal (SP) the title of National Peanut Capital .
These projects demonstrate an agenda that combines road infrastructure, regional development, agriculture, social regulation, and tax issues , reflecting the diversity of topics championed by Barroso in Parliament.
